Do you know I started this restaurant already in 2005? At that time it was completely different, it was a fastfood restaurant in an old building, simple and very local. A difficult time and you know, when all my money ran out, I had to put it on sale. Finished…
But then, I was lucky. I got some help, new ideas, new menu, decoration and Mitho was born. Mitho, the Nepali word for delicious or tasty. Since then, more than 10 years, Mitho has been known for affordable, tasty food and the friendly and homely atmosphere. I loved it! Then again a difficult time… the earthquake in 2015. It destroyed Mitho, and our dreams. The restaurant building collapsed. Staff, customers were very lucky to survive the tragedy, but everybody got out alive, but Mitho was finished.
In 2017, two years later, with the help of friends and family, I found the opportunity, the motivation and inspiration to rebuild and reopen a new Mitho Restaurant. A new building and a new time. Now, the Mitho family is back with as much love, inspiration and creativity. Enjoy your stay and I hope you love it, too…
